Kreg Stretches His Streak to 7
Kreg took advantage of his mud bogging days to steal a victory over teammate Darren Migues in Rochester MN Saturday. Monster Madness was the largest Monster Truck show that the city has had the chance to see. Kreg qualified in the #1 spot while Bounty Hunter qualified in the number 2 spot. Kreg had to get by a very quick Jim Bendzik in Rolling Thunder to advance to the Magic Media Monster Cup Race. The day was marred by one thunderstorm after another, but Monster-Mojo Live Events pushed on with the show and saw Kreg win over Bounty in the final. Local boy Jim Bendzik was victorious in the Everything Hobby Freestyle. This pushes Kregs racing win streak to 7 straight!

Kreg' s Results!

Kreg and the Outlaw once again had some Tranny problems in the intros. This forced Kreg to run the truck in first gear in his first round race, which he won. This set up a duel between to team 2xtream trucks. Kreg said Darren did an awesome job, and he took the win over Kreg. After Kreg and the team got back into the pits, it was decided Kreg would freestyle in first gear only as it was all that was functioning at the time. Kreg made some good jumps, but was worried about blowing up his motor and took it easy for the boss JC. As always, thanks for your support!!!

Kreg Speaks.......Kinda Softly, but Carries a Big Broom!

Kreg Christensen cleaned up the competition this weekend in Montana at the Monster Nationals. Facing a good field of trucks Kreg worked through all 5 events dominating the weekend by sweeping the show! Kreg is making a strong case for himself in the industry as his contract is up at the end of this month, and he is looking towards the future. He is weighing his options and considering what to do next. Whatever the BOSS decides, you will be the first to know! As always Team KCM is thankful for all of our fans, and hope to see you at a show in the near future.

The Team and How it went down This Weekend!
Mikeal took the Dragon Slayer out and made a good show of it Friday night at Monster Jam in Salt Lake. He made it to the semis and lost a close decision to Obsession. This lead to a great performance in the freestyle portion of the night where Mikeal scored a 17 but popped the motor setting up a very bust Saturday afternoon. Saturday Mikeal scored a 16 in freestyle and will take the Dragon back to the shop to replace the headgasket he blew doing doughnuts Kreg had advised against! All in all it was good to see the Dragon Slayer back out there and I am sure we will be seeing more of it in the near future. Kreg on the other hand has 2 freestyle wins and 2 wheelie wins going into todays final show in New Mexico. Kreg is really itching to get that last day sweep, but is facing tuff competition from the Hall Brothers in their Hemi powered Rams! Sunday was just as Friday and Saturday for Kreg in the Outlaw, he once again took the wheelie contest and Freestyle giving the BOSS a sweep for the weekend!

Dallas, Reunion Arena Results
Team 2 Extreme had a rough weekend. Kreg had to face Jimmy in the first race of the first show on Saturday and had little luck. Jimmy went on to win while flipping the Bounty in the process. Kreg destroyed plenty during his freestyle and kept them up all night getting the trucks ready for Sundays show. Not much changed there as Kreg came out and had a good pass but hit a turning cone and it cost him the victory.

Official Monster Jam Results from Oakland

WOW!  Rain, rain, and more rain!  9 monster trucks, quad wars, Pro-trucks, and did I mention rain!?  You would never have known the weather was all that bad by the enthusiasm and the shear numbers of fans that turned out tonight.  The Built Ford Tough Party In The Pits was actually being called Party On The Concourse today due to the fact everything had to be moved indoors.  We had the floor open to any fans that wanted to venture out into the inclement weather to get up close pictures of the monsters and sure enough the rabid fans of Oakland were out the nearly 2000 deep.  That was just a sure sign of what was to come for the evening.
Even in rainy and I mean RAINY conditions, the phrase, “the crème always rises to the top” came true.
Working their way through the bracket and into the semi-finals was GraveDigger, Donkey Kong, Airborne Ranger, & Bounty Hunter.  Even in these muddy conditions, the big horsepower proved to be the advantage as Digger & Bounty Hunter won their way into the finals.  In the end it was Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter proving that sometimes slower means faster as he was very meticulous and deliberate in the turns and was able to “peddle” it down the straights all the way to another win.  It was great to see Jimmy smile after this one even if it was through a mud caked face.
The constant rain came down even harder just as freestyle was ready to start and again, the fans here at McAfee Coliseum were not moving an inch!  Kreg Christianson and Iron Outlaw laid down the a 25 2/3rds of the way through the field and looked like he had a legitimate shot at a win but we still had 3 trucks remaining.  Jimmy Creten was the next out and BAM, just like that we had a new leader with a 26.  Frank Krmel and the brand new Donkey Kong was tearing out onto the floor, but between a possible missed set up or more than likely not being able to see a thing through a mud caked windshield, Kong was only able to nail a 24.  As usual, the door was left open.  Only needing a 27 to take the freestyle win, Charlie Paulkin and GraveDigger hit the floor, not just to win freestyle but to give the fans something to talk about until the next time Monster Jam comes to town.  And boy did he, huge air after huge air.  Charlie proved to the crowd why Dennis Anderson himself picked Paulkin to be one of the Team Digger drivers if not the best one out there.  Another rain soaked and mud caked interview and Charlie dedicated that win to the wet or should I say SOAKED fans of Oakland.
It’s getting to be almost that time now fans that everyone is looking towards the NGK Spark Plugs Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas and before they were able to get home tonight to dry off, the bet was that there would be more than a few fans online tonight checking on “Finals” tickets!  We’ll see you Oakland fans in Vegas, if not, in 2009!

Kreg finishes night with a third place finish in FREESTYLE.

Kreg had the bad luck bug again this weekend in Phoenix. During the intros Hector reported that he rolled to a stop and remained there until a tractor came out and pulled him off and took him to the hauler for the frantic work that needed to be done. The crew worked tirelessly to get the truck ready for racing, but it would not be and Kreg would have to settle for a shot at the Freestyle title. This leaves the Team ready to battle next weekend in Oakland, CA. The monster Blog was there this weekend, so head on over to the Blog for all of the latest news from PHZ. Pictures will be posted soon!

San Diego Monster Jam Race Recap

An interesting start of a fantastic evening took place during the Built Ford Tough Party In The Pits today when both Dennis and Adam Anderson were exchanging comments most of the afternoon.  It was trash talking much like you see in the NBA or NFL.  It just happened to be one of the largest pit parties in recent history as well, so everyone was well aware of the brewing rivalry.

The fans just knew something was going to bubble over when in the semi-finals it was an exact replay of the 2006 World Finals racing action.  And it was only the 3rd round tonight when Dennis Anderson & GraveDigger was lined up against Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter.  It seemed as if Creten was suffering from some sort of problem with his transmission heading over the last set of cars as it sounded like Bounty Hunter was over revving badly and Digger went on for the win and another appearance in the finals of racing.  Meanwhile, Creten’s new teammate, Kreg Christensen and Iron Outlaw had worked their way methodically through the field to earn another shot at a racing championship.  Well guess what, much to the amusement of Jimmy Creten, it was all Christensen and Outlaw in racing.  It really quieted down the crowd when Iron Outlaw crossed the Built Ford Tough Finish Line in front of Digger.
Finally by the end of the night the fans were more than ready for the UTI Monster Jam Freestyle Competition.  12 monster trucks, 40,000+ screaming fans, recipe for a TON of fun.  Even the USHRA officials were anxious for this one to get going. The early leader with a score of 22 was once again, Kreg Christensen & Iron Outlaw.  Even for just a moment, Kreg was looking at a possible “double down” evening.  Dan Rodoni and The Patriot knocked him off the top spot with a 24, which held up for exactly one truck.  Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter bettered it by 1 point to take the lead.  Damon Bradshaw and Air Force tied for the lead on the next run.  And that lasted for exactly one truck.  George Belhan and Escalade took the lead by one point again as he scored a 26.  Two trucks remaining and it was the Anderson boys.  Adam momentarily took the lead with a very impressive run and a 27.  Guess what, the door was left open if even just a bit.  Dennis took advantage and blew the socks off of every single fan in their seat.  As usual Digger took different angles at every obstacle, higher jumps, faster between each hit and absolutely huge momentum from hit to hit.  In GraveDigger fashion another perfect 30.
As interesting as the day started, it ended in even better fashion.  40,000 ecstatic fans already looking forward to 2009!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Weekend , ohhhh The Weekend.

Kreg Lost to the Grave Digger in the Semi's! The Iron Outlaw had a slight lead but hit a turning post and the 5 second penalty was to much to overcome. In freestyle Kreg put on a heck of a show pushing the Outlaw to the limit and eventually rolling it forcing the team to work late into the night to get it ready for todays show.....Well, the second day was much like the first. Kreg spent all night with the crew (2 people) putting all the Outlaw back together again, as well as helping Jimmy get the Bounty Hunter back up and running, only to break an input shaft during intros the next day. This put a very tired and exhausted Kreg back into mechanic mode trying to put in the 3rd new transmission of the weekend. The mission was accomplished before the end of racing but Kreg was to late to get into the game and settled for a great freestyle. Kreg made a great run and finished in the 3rd spot against 15 other trucks with a score of 16. Now the road leads to San Diego and another HUGE stadium show in front of well over 60k fans and a national TV audience on SPEED!

Kreg getting some ridiculous air! He loves to fly..... And it shows!

Weekend Race Recap

In front of a capacity standing room only crowd at Houston’s Reliant Stadium Dennis Anderson and Tom Meents renewed the greatest rivalry in motorsports with a pair of blistering freestyles that ended in a bit of controversy as the judges scored Grave Digger and Maximum Destruction in a tie for the win, and Kreg Christensen made his Speed TV debut in Iron Outlaw a victorious one by taking the racing competition against a star-studded 16-truck field.

With the superstars testing another brand new track design Jimmy Creten set the fastest time in the Bounty Hunter on a circuit that started with the trucks at the edge of the entrance tunnel, side by side, roaring at a 45 degree angle onto the spacious floor before breaking into St. Louis style twin oval race tracks. Creten appeared to be the man to beat, setting a qualifying time almost two seconds faster than the rest of field and rolled into the semifinals with wins over Grave Digger and Steve Reynolds in Cowboy, but lost his semifinal match-up against reigning World Racing Champion John Seasock and Batman when the Bounty Hunter lost power half way through the race, sending Batman into the Championship Race. IN the other half of the bracket it was Creten’s teammate, Christensen, driving Iron Outlaw to wins over Scott Hartsock in Gunslinger, Daron Basl in the Fiesta El Matador, and then Adam Anderson in Taz to ear the other championship berth. The finale was close to the final turn with Iron Outlaw coming home the winner, the veteran Christensen paying big dividends for his new team.

The freestyle competition was wild from start to finish, but it was Creten who set the standard with a technically strong run that include new cross-thread moves, Bounty Hunter’s score of 23 putting Jimmy in the hot seat. The younger Anderson looked to be ready to give Creten a run, but he flipped Taz half way into the performance and scored just a 16 from the judges. Then his dad brought Grave Digger out for a popular high energy performance that put the Digger on top with a score of 26. Meents was the final competitor in Max-D and he went ballistic, a huge air performance that continued despite his breaking a wheel off near the end of the run but continuing to wow the crowd anyway. Meents ended his run with every one of the more than 60,000 fans on their feet screaming, but the judges scored Maximum Destruction with the same score as Grave Digger, 26. With the trophy presentation be made to both as the winners Anderson refused to accept his share of the win, saying the judges got it wrong and that Meents was a no doubt winner. As he walked away and handed the trophy to Meents, Anderson had one more thing to say to his rival: “this one is yours, but the next one will be mine!”.

Kreg Christensen Finishes #8 in MLMT

After a long and trying season in Major League of Monster Trucks, Kreg Christensen finishes in the top 10 with the number 8 spot! This is a series that has well over 30 drivers, and for Kreg to finish in the top 10 is great. But if you ask Kreg he will tell you that 8 is not good enough, still all in all it was a finish that should be a great springboard for the team heading into 2008. The MLMT website is preparing for a new look so check back there in a week or so to see the final standings! 2008 was a busy year for Team KCM capturing the Monster Jam Golden Mic Award at the World Finals banquet, and finishing with the West Coast Nationals Championship are just the bookends for one great year! Team KCM wants to thank all of its fans from around the globe for checking in, sending us well wishes, and for just all of your support in general! Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! See you in 2008!

Big Weekend in Red Bluff!

(Pictures are courtesy of Chris, our MySpace friend)

Team KCM entered this weekend in Red Bluff knowing that the task ahead was daunting. First issue arose when the Dragon Slayer had no Oil Pressure when it was unloaded for the pit party Friday afternoon. Paul and Kreg immediately dug into the motor realizing this was bigger than they had hoped it would be. This prompted Paul to suggest that Kreg drive the Kaptain Insano because he is more experienced in this type of racing. Kreg took that to heart, and it was a great decision that would allow Team KCM to capture their biggest racing title to date this season. Kreg took out the Kaptain and beat trucks like Tropical Thunder, Bounty Hunter, Scarlet Bandit, Iron Outlaw, Sudden Impact, Big Foot, this was a very good field of trucks, and Team KCM laid down the law, knocking them out one by one. Kreg took the racing championship Friday and Saturday Night giving him the title, but wanted to try for the racing sweep on Sunday. Just as luck would have it, Kreg did the one thing he did not want to do, he ROLLED the Kaptain and is now going to make the team work all week in the shop to try to get it ready for Next weekend! In closing, Team KCM has had a great stretch, and Paul came out in the Dragon and finished strong after working all weekend getting the H2 ready for the final day. What a great weekend, we will have some videos posted soon compliments of the Monster Blog, and more pictures as well!

Father VS Son in the final in Redmond 11-7-07

Team KCM has always been an ultra competitive family, and that carried over into Fridays first MLMT show. Kreg was busy driving his new digs through the field, and Mikeal in the Kaptain was doing the same in the other bracket. Paul was also busy in the Dragon Slayer, but had a tough round and was eliminated in a close race. The Kaptain Insano H1 HUMMER defeated Nitro Hornet in the first round, and the Bounty Hunter in the second to set up a final that would be won by the driver who made the fewest mistakes. That driver was The Boss in the Iron Outlaw. Tune in again tomorrow, and get the final results for the two remaining shows!

All Team KCM Final at Motor Madness

A nice crowd showed up to see Motor Madness despite a day of non stop rain and snow. When the pit opened at 5pm the rain was still falling, but by 6pm it stopped and we were ready to roll. The day would end with the Dragon Slayer beating out all competition to meet The Kaptain in the final. It was a classic battle of brothers, hummers, and mud! The race was Chicago style so they both had to go around and hit the cars 3 times. By the end of the race Mikeal had beaten Paul in the Dragon Slayer by mere inches and claimed the trophy. In freestyle it would be Ron in the Maverick Monster Trakker taking the win as he rolled over after hitting a van stack. This was the first time the Maverick Monster has ever rolled, and Ron was not happy, but he was gracious, and loved to see the fans having a great time! Kreg and Mark from Rebel Racing put on a first class show, and maybe next year we can get it all done and have a nice day to boot! Thank you to all of the loyal monster truck fans who came out and took part in Motor Madness 2007. There will be tee shirts in our store later this week for $10 plus $5 shipping and handling! We will also post all of the Motor Madness coloring contest winners pictures, these guys won bikes for their efforts!

Team KCM Coverage in Tijuana, MX
Pictures below!!!
Team KCM went to Mexico with a plan , a plan to start getting into a groove going into MLMT portion of their schedule. This plan was met with a little resistance early on as Kreg , after qualifying 4th, pulled up to race ProComp in the first round and had the starter fail. That would send him to the pits where he and Jimmy Creten would work to correct the problem before freestyle. All of the commotion in the pits did not seem to rattle Mikeal as he would prove to be very competitive on the racing portion of the evening. Mikeal would first race Iron Outlaw and after 3 replays it was decided that Iron Outlaw would be the winner. Not to fear, The Kaptain Insano Lynch Hummer would be back as fast looser, and face eventual winner Rick Swanson in Obsession. This race was also to close to call and it was decided by the judges that Rick would be declared winner, but guess who was coming back as fast looser. IN the final race of the night for the Kaptain Insano Hummer it would be Team CSK vs Team KCM and Cretin in the Bounty Hunter would win by a narrow margin. Meanwhile back in the pits the Tuff Country Dragon Slayer was ready for all out freestyle war! But first Mikeal would come out in the Kaptain and hit all of the obstacles, Busses, vans, table tops, they were all in play. "I hit every thing could out there, some things twice. " Mikeal said. Kreg Christensen came out in the Dragon Slayer with something to prove, and he did not disappoint! The Dragon Slayer was hitting the obstacles with such force that Kreg was a full 1-2 feet over the bus stack both times he hit it. The overflow crowd was shown what Team KCM Hummer monster trucks were all about. After all the dust settled it was between Jimmy in the Bounty Hunter and Kreg in the Dragon Slayer. The crowd gave the slight edge to Jimmy and Kreg took 2nd in the 10 truck field. Team KCM is starting to hit on all cylinders, and there is really very little work to get ready for MLMT in 2 weeks, so they will work on fine tuning the Dragon Slayer as the new KB Motor is just starting to get broke in. Check back often as we will get a pit pass to the speedshop this week and see whats up! Hector Palafox was at the show and has sent us some great pictures! Thanks Hector!
